I’m not a big fan of DMs or suede, but these wool-lined versions aren’t bad.

First sweater! Overall, I’m pleased. I’m not sure I did the short rows right. The way it was written in the pattern didn’t make sense to me.

If I had to do it over, I’d make it shorter. And I wouldn’t bother with the waist shaping. Or make it more pronounced. I went through the (minor) trouble of doing it and you can’t even tell!

It looks better tucked under.

It’s done!
But I want to give it a quick wash first. So you’ll just have to wait for a full shot.
Saturday came and went, and no sweater. And since vacation is over and I’m back at work, in addition to school, who knows when I’ll finish the damn thing. Next weekend maybe?
Whatever. No more deadlines.

I started my first sweater this past Saturday, and I’ve already got half the body done. So, I’m hopeful I can finish everything this weekend.
If I can knit a whole jacket in under a month, I can definitely knit a simple sweater in the round in less time.
